Former professor of Agricultural Microbiology at the University of Milan, she has dedicated herself to research and education since obtaining her degree in Biological Sciences in 1965. She carried out her activities at the University of Milan.
She was Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture at the University of Milan and has held various academic positions over the years.
Her research interests have focused on agricultural and environmental microbiology, with some reference to food microbiology and related biotechnological applications, the relationships between microorganisms and works of “art, topics of sustainable agriculture, including in developing countries, and equal opportunities, especially in academic settings.”
