Francesca Coin

Biography

University professor, author, and sociologist, she focuses on work and social inequality. She has taught at various universities in Italy and abroad, including the United States, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland. Until 2022, she worked as a Professor in the Department of Sociology at Lancaster University in the United Kingdom. Since then, she has been teaching in Switzerland. She is the author of several articles and books on contemporary working conditions. Her latest book, published by Einaudi, is titled “The Great Resignation: The New Rejection of Work and Time to Reclaim Our Lives” (2023). She writes for Internazionale, Repubblica, and Il Sole24Ore. Her articles have been published in various newspapers, including Il Fatto Quotidiano and La Stampa.
