He is a Professor of Economics at the University of Turin, Director of the Allievi Program and Fellow of the Collegio Carlo Alberto. He is also the Director of the LTI@UniTo think tank. Furthermore, he is a researcher at the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR) in London, at the Institute of Labor Economics (IZA) in Bonn, and head of labor studies at the Rodolfo Debenedetti Foundation.
He is the President of the VisitInps Program, a research initiative launched by the Italian Social Security Administration in 2015. He is one of the founders and current editors of www.lavoce.info. His main research interests concern the macroeconomics of the labor market, with particular attention to institutions and interactions between labor finance and work.
