Charles I. (Chad) Jones holds the STANCO 25 Chair of Economics at Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business. He is a member of the “American Academy of Arts and Sciences, a Fellow of the Econometric Society, co-editor of Econometrica, and the author of two textbooks. His research focuses on the long-term causes and consequences of economic growth. More recently, he has dedicated his studies to the” interaction between demographic and economic growth, as well as the “economics of” artificial intelligence, growth, and existential risks.
